Suicide&Co Challenges

  • The estimated number of people directly bereaved by suicide each year is around 36,000. This is our number at Suicide&Co, as it is the estimated size of our target community each year who could need access to our services.

Each year around World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10th), we recruit 36 people or teams to take on the 36k Challenge, each with a fundraising target of £1000, so that together we can raise £36,000 to help us to continue to achieve our mission of supporting individuals bereaved by suicide!

You can walk, run, cycle , skip or swim 36km. You can do it alone or as part of a team (maybe even relay style!), and it’s flexible so that you can tailor it to your capabilities.

    Find out more here.

  • Join us for the #10before10 challenge. Let's keep it simple, walk 10,000 steps before 10am on the 10th of each month!

By taking part in this challenge you’ll get your dose of self-care, whilst raising money for Suicide&Co to support those bereaved by suicide by donating £10 to take part, either as a one off or every month!

We believe that together we can stride for better suicide bereavement support, stride to have braver conversations and stride with pride with our community, knowing that we are not alone.

  • On the weekend of the 5th-7th of June 2026, Suicide&Co will be taking part in our own National 3 Peaks Challenge, and we would love for you to join us!

Non- Physical Fundraisers

People often think of fundraising challenges as marathons or endurance, but there are lots of different options that don't involve a physical activity!

We know that physical fundraising challenges are not for everyone, so below are some ideas and activities that people have done in the past to fundraise for us in some more unique ways.

  • This is a great way to engage people in fundraising - the better the prizes the more donations!

If your company is looking to support a charity, we woul love to be your charity partner!

  • This is a fun way to run a competition without needing a physical aspect, and a great option for a younger audience.

  • This is a really easy feature to use to fundraise through Facebook. Instead of birthday presents, ask your friends and family to donate to your fundraiser instead!

  • You could create your own quiz, games or comedy night, or you could approach your local pub and ask them to collaborate on a charity quiz for one night!

  • This is a great way to bring communities together at local level. You could host this in your own home, in a community centre or even at a local coffee shop.

  • Whether this is for a sporting competition, a TV show or something else, this is a fun way to get competitive with friends, family and colleagues while raising money for charity.

  • Instead of asking for presents, why not add us to your gift registry and your guests can donate to a cause of your choosing instead!

FAQs

  • Yes, we often pay for race place tickets! This is done on depending on the event and requires a minimum fundraising target. If you would like to discuss this, please email info@suicideandco.org.

  • Most of our fundraisers use JustGiving to host their fundraising pages. It is really easy to set up and the donations go straight to us!

To set up your fundraising page you can do this on Just Giving here. You can search for us when setting up your page, just make sure to type in Suicide&Co with no spaces and we should come up.
