Linzi Meaden’s shared experience

Linzi has shared her experience of suicide bereavement with us in this video below. She has also shared how she has coped with her loss so far and how she hopes to help others experiencing a similar loss with her videos, her book, and her online community.

I lost my brother, my only sibling, to suicide in June 2020 during lockdown. From that moment I have grieved and spoken about suicide openly online, as well as writing and publishing a book called ‘What Suicide Left Behind’ to help others.

I have created an online Community for suicide loss survivors called ‘Paradisium’ after my brother changed his ‘whatsapp’ picture to ‘escape to paradise’ on the day he departed. I’ve also put together an online programme to provide immediate support: Suicide Loss Support Programme.

I’m a trained trauma therapist (Clinical Hypnotherapy, The Havening Techniques, Life Coaching & Neuro-Linguistic Programming / NLP) and I use the tools and resources I’ve learnt over the years to help navigate my grief journey and to help others.

My new book is currently in progress and features stories from families who lost their loved one to suicide during the Pandemic.

When my brother departed, he gave me courage to use my voice. And my promise to him is that I will use my voice to speak up for what matters and to speak up for those who are unable to, and make a positive difference in this world.
