To Grandad to be,

I often feel so guilty about not being overwhelmed by becoming a father to be.
But it's so hard, Dad, without you its not the same. It's been 3 months now, and it's still just as hard.
You were taken from us in the cruellest way, no goodbye, just a sentence on a bit of paper.
We know you didn't want to go, Dad, you just couldn't cope any longer.
You should be here to be the best first-time grandad, it's just so unfair.
What should be the best time of my life Is also the saddest, knowing you're not here to share it with.
But you'll always be a grandad and I'll tell them all about you once they are here. Teach them what you taught me and take them to the places that you took me.
You can't take away someone who lives in your heart and that's where you will remain.
