Launch your own Christmas Raffle!
This Christmas, we can help you set up your own raffle to raise money for Suicide&Co. Last year we raised on average £2,000 for each raffle, a donation which means we could offer 66 counselling sessions!
Setting up your own charity raffle can be done as follows:
Ask key stakeholder to donate prizes
These can be from senior people, partners, suppliers or clients
Prizes can range from a bottle of wine to restaurant vouchers to a week at someone's holiday home
Remember to include details of Suicide&Co and why you are supporting them
Sell tickets to company, friends and family
Buy some traditional raffle books
Set up an online money transfer account (i.e. PayPal) and collect their contact details (and permission to be contacted)
Once people have paid, email them their numbers ahead of the draw
Draw the raffle online
Set up a meeting to draw the raffle (or do at end of a company meeting)
Video the draw for those that missed it
Email individuals the details to collect their prizes
Suicide&Co can join the meeting to thank everyone for taking part
Some companies will also match the amount raised so it’s worth seeing if this is a policy your company has.
Alternatively, there are online raffle sites which can take a lot of the hassle out. For example https://rallyup.com/ is a popular site. They will take commission for doing this though, so please be aware!
