Our App is here to support you day and night

Navigating the journey of suicide-related grief can feel lonely and isolating. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our App, designed to be a supportive companion that’s always there for you on your phone.

Our app is a powerful, free tool crafted to support you through your unique suicide loss journey. It provides both general mental health exercises and personalised, suicide bereavement-specific resources to help you find the right support for you.

The Suicide&Co app is part of our mission to find a sustainable solution to work alongside our professional services, allowing us to support more people. We were able to build this app affordably with the generous donation of technology from the charity Sidekick, whose co-founder James Shrager helped tailor the app to the specific needs of our community.

Co-created with in-depth feedback and user testing from over 50 members of our community, we are confident that the Suicide&Co app will be a valuable tool to help you navigate your grief, access vital resources, and maintain your mental health.

The Story Behind Our App

At Suicide&Co, we saw a critical need. Since launching in 2020 as the only national charity focused on professional support for those bereaved by suicide, our counseling service has been in high demand. We know that thousands of people need support, and we have to find innovative, sustainable ways to help more of them.

To explore a digital solution, we conducted a research study with over 300 people affected by suicide loss. The findings were clear: participants rated their desire for personalized bereavement resources at 8.7 out of 10, but their ability to easily find them was only 3 out of 10. This proved a significant gap in service provision.

We discovered that an app could provide the personalized solution people were looking for. We were incredibly fortunate when the charity Sidekick generously donated their app technology to us, giving us a strong foundation to build on. With a co-founder from Sidekick, James, joining our team to specifically tailor the app for suicide-related grief, we're now thrilled to offer a powerful new tool to our community.

We initially launched the app exclusively on iOS, and after a successful reception, we’re proud to announce that we have now relaunched the app to make it available on Android as well, ensuring we can support even more people.
